~ What can island Vis offer to you? ~

There is different sea life, algae are green there so sun ray that illuminates cave gives her emerald green colour. Together with fascinating caves island Vis can offer different kinds of natural beaches. Beach Srebarna is proof that sea can be gentile and is made of smooth, round, white pebbels. Total contrary to beach Srebarna is small bay Stiniva with beach protected with high rocks, home of seagulls. Of course, tour around island Vis will take you to have a swim in one of few sandy beaches, too.

City Komiza is total difference than city Vis. It is situated under hill Hum, highest hill on island. Komiza is exclusively fishermans seaside place and you should visit Fishing museum. Together with Komiza, city Vis has Archeological museum and that two museums will tell you a story of small island but great history and even bigger tradition.

Island Vis is full of possibilities but all you want is to relax and take it easy? No problem. City Vis is small enough not to get tired but large enough to occupate you for some time. City Vis is situated in St. Juraj bay. Pleasant walk along the coast will take you from one part of the city to the other. To island Vis you can arrive by car-ferry or by catamaran. Ferry and catamaran lines with Split (transit centre in central Dalmatia) are regular and comfortable. Depending on number of passengers, number of daily lines varies. Ferry and catamaran are accosting to city Vis, together with some Adriatic and Italian lines.
